Scott J. Stein is a business and real estate deal attorney and focuses his practice on real estate, sales, leasing and development, corporate transactions, structuring and strategic planning, loan financings, and hospitality matters.

In addition, Mr. Stein has been featured in Attorney At Law Magazine as the magazine's first "Sole Practitioner of the Month.".

Mr. Stein is a deal maker, not a deal breaker and is recognized as being adept at finding creative solutions to getting deals done while preserving their sound legal framework.

Mr. Stein started his career at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP (currently known as Squire Patton Boggs), and was then part of a group that left Squire in June 2006 to found the Phoenix office of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP (currently known as the Dentons).

Since founding Stein Law, he has been providing the skill and sophistication of firms larger in size without compromising our core values of creativity, flexibility and personal attention. He provides distinct legal counsel and solutions and never loses sight of the big picture or overlooks even the smallest of details.

Mr. Stein is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the Real Estate Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona and is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court and United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona.

Mr. Stein also volunteers his time to a number of community organizations, including the Valley Eruv Project, the Pro-Israel community and the State Bar of Arizona Volunteer Lawyers Program offering pro bono assistance in a variety of matters.

Scott J. Stein resides in Scottsdale with his wife, Brooke and their two sons and twin daughters. In addition to his professional activities, Mr. Stein is on the Board of his synagogue, Congregation Beth Tefillah, and he and his wife are the co-Presidents of the Brandeis University Alumni Club of Arizona.

Rebecca C. Goldberg, Of Counsel

Rebecca C. Goldberg focuses her practice on commercial leasing, real estate and finance transactions. Ms. Goldberg began her career as an associate attorney at the Phoenix law firm of Salmon, Lewis & Weldon, P.L.C. She graduated from the University of Arizona Rogers College of Law in 2003, where she was Note and Comment Editor of the Arizona Journal of International and Comparative Law.

In her leasing work, Ms. Goldberg has negotiated retail, restaurant, office, and industrial leases on behalf of a wide range of tenants and landlords. Recent work includes leasing at regional mixed-use shopping centers and Class "A" office building towers in downtown Phoenix and the Camelback corridor. She has also negotiated and counseled tenants and landlords on related leasing documents, such as lease amendments, assignments, subleases, termination agreements, demand letters, estoppel certificates, and subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements, along with ongoing property management matters.

Ms. Goldberg also has extensive experience representing clients in the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate. She has represented borrowers in connection with secured and unsecured loans, most in excess of $10 million. Representative transactions include acquisition of, along with debt and mezzanine financing for, numerous senior living and assisted living projects in the Western United States.

Ms. Goldberg is a member of the State Bar of Arizona. Ms. Goldberg is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.

Ms. Goldberg resides in Phoenix with her husband, Adam, and two sons.
