Scott J. Stein is a business and real estate transactional attorney and focuses his practice on real estate, sales, leasing and development, corporate transactions, entity formation, structuring and strategic planning, loan financings, workouts and modifications and hospitality matters.
He was recently named as one of the 2009 "Top People to Know in Commercial Real Estate" by AZRE (Arizona Commercial Real Estate) magazine. In addition, Mr. Stein has been featured in Attorney At Law Magazine as the magazine's first "Sole Practitioner of the Month" and has been BV® Distinguished™ rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Stein is a deal maker, not a deal breaker and is recognized as being adept at finding creative solutions to getting deals done while preserving their sound legal framework.
Mr. Stein started his career at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey LLP., and was then part of a group that left Squire in June 2006 to found the Phoenix office of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal LLP.
He now offers the skill and sophistication of firms larger in size without compromising our core values of creativity, flexibility and personal attention. He provides distinct legal counsel and solutions and never loses sight of the big picture or overlooks even the smallest of details.
Mr. Stein is a member of the State Bar of Arizona, the Real Estate Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona and the Scottsdale Bar Association. Mr. Stein is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court and United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Arizona.
Mr. Stein also volunteers his time to a number of community organizations, including the Valley Eruv Project, the Pro-Israel community and the State Bar of Arizona Volunteer Lawyers Program offering pro bono assistance in a variety of matters.
Scott J. Stein resides in Scottsdale with his wife, Brooke and their two sons and twin daughters. In addition to his professional activities, Mr. Stein serves on the board of the Jewish Federation of Greater Phoenix Real Estate & Finance Affinity Committee and is co-President of the Brandeis University Alumni Club of Arizona.
